Busy Busy Busy!

Goodness me I am shocked how fast the last month has gone!

Just seems to be so much going on! Girls are loving school - I have a gorgeous new baby niece in Holland - can't wait to get over there and give her a cuddle - and I have been doing some work in a local coffee shop doing the baking. So all this "time" that I thought I would have just doesn't exist!

Squiggle Stamps is growing - lots of new designs now available and more to come! Very proud of my little stamp company! We now have a fantabulous Design Team....their cards and projects are sinply stunning - have a nosy over at the BLOG for links :)

Tomorrow is a crafty day away for me - demo'ing some Squiggle Stamps over at Simply Create in Alford. I adore that shop - Jacqui has created the ultimate Craft Utopia there! No doubt I will be coming home with more than I took! Would be lovely to catch up with some familiar faces if you are in the area :)

Have a lovely weekend :)

School Days....

Well the day has come......my baby has started school! GULP!

Big adventures for both my girls - wee one is starting P1 and her big sister is moving up to the next class and a new teacher in P3 - but they were both happy and excited when the bell rang!

So what do I do now!? Ha Ha there is LOTS to keep me busy...cards to make.....website....a new Squiggle Blog to be created....and I am going to work a couple of days a week in the local coffee shop to do the baking again....and somewhere in amongst all that I really need to work on my domestic goddess skills!

So feeling a bit at odds today.....happy and a wee bit sad too. But well life goes on so I just need to try and keep up!!!

On the plus side - I have a new batch of sketches for September Stamps....oooh they are FAB! Autumn...Winter.....and a wee Witchie too!!! I might even show you all a peek later! :P

New Beginnings.....

Well who can believe it is already June! The last few months since my accident hardly seem real – but finally I am making steady progress. I am walking again with the help of a stick and ooooh it is good to get on the move!

I have had so much thinking time lately – not sure if that is good or not! Faced with the prospect of not being fully mobile for the next few months I made a decision that has been life changing.

Over the last few years I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to work with lots of fantastic craft products and companies – something I have been very passionate about. And so I have decided to fill the creative gap in my life with a new stamp company. It is all very exciting – and also a bit terrifying but I am very proud to show you SQUIGGLE STAMPS.

Our first range has been designed by the very talented Linda Allan. I have been close friends with Linda for many years and am delighted she has joined me on this venture. I hope to have many more designs over the coming months.

I want to say a huge thank you to my family and friends for the fantastic love and support they have shown lately – it is very much appreciated! I couldn’t do it without you!

Gulp – here’s to new beginnings!

A special card...

My lovely friend Elaine asked me to make a card gor her Gran - she will be celebrating her 80th Birthday this weekend! The only request was to use some purple...and to make it quite modern - strictly no vintage! She is a Groovy Gran after all! These MM papers are actually far more purple than the photo looks - honest! The Cricut machine even got a dusting to cut some lovely numbers :) Hope she likes it!

Have some ideas for Easter treats for local kids and neighbours but need to see if OH is in a good enough mood to go shopping for chocolate!

Bye for now xx

A Sweet Day...

Lots of sweetness going on today :)

My lovely friend Eva popped over with some yummy choccies - thanks honey - they are super yummy :)

Annemiek and I have been busy crafting - we both made a card using an adorable Magnolia image and an Alota cupcake - mmm it looks good enough to eat! This is actually a Christmas stamp - must see if I can get me another sitting girl!

Had a delivery of sample stock from Bramwells with a wee extra goodie bag inside - some super yummy "Flowers & Frills" papers which I have used on this card. A big thank you to Susan for her kindness.

I have received so many lovely cards, gifts and messages since being unwell - it means so much to know that so many people care :) Soooo - all you lovely ladies- THANK YOU for making my day sweet!

And just look at Meike's card too......ahh she does me proud!!!

More Gorjuss-ness

Hello

Just a wee post to say woooo-hooo the wonderful Gorjuss Girls Set 2 are now available to pre-order from Funky Kits

They are even more adorable than the first set (if that is possible!)

This is a card I made with the fantabulous Little Miss Attitude!

Troubled times here for me still - have had to take leave of my job at Funky Kits - not my own decision but one I have to accept for my own good. Hoping to get myself fighting fit again so I can regain my Sugar Slave status later this Summer.

Have a Gorjuss weekend!

Whhheeeeeeek!

Another day at home - I had hoped to try my first day out but just wasn't feeling too great so Addy & Freya took a trip to Elgin whilst me & Meike stayed home and did some crafting!

I asked them to pop into the pet shop for some bird seed.......well they managed to come home with 2 guinea pigs! Jeezy Peeps! We always used to have bunnies & piggies as pets...when we lived down in the Borders we were well known for rescuing small animals LOL Anyways in the local pet shop they have a wee section for animals that are needing adopted as their owners can no longer look after them and my big softie of an other half just had to bring them home!!

He was told they had hardly been handled but they are sooooo timid! We left them to settle into their new surroundings all afternoon but the girls couldn't wait any longer and had to have a wee cuddle! Look at them - Aren't they adorable! Annemiek has named hers "Toffee" and Freya has named hers "Rainbow" (I was hoping she would call her Fudge but no...Rainbow it is :))

Aren't they adorable!! I just love the wee chuntering and loud wheeeeeeking they do! Oh and guess what....he forgot the bird food!!!!!

Happy Red Nose Day

Still all quiet here - me and my stookie!

We were all up super early this morning as the kids were allowed to dress up for Red Nose Day at School - Annemiek wanted to be a "Mamma Mia Girl" so she has a super shiny 80's outfit and I sat for ages crimping all her hair - the blue eye shadow just finishes it off!

As for Freya.....well because I cant get her up to her nursery she has been staying home....but never needs a reason to dress up LOL so here she is aswell - my own wee super hero!

Her Dad managed to take her round to the school for their open doors fun session...face painting, games, prizes and even throwing wet sponges at teachers! I think they all had a blast!

Hope you are all having a good Red Nose Day - Do something FUNNY for MONEY!!! :)

Stuck at home....

...with a Stookie!

Sorry for the absence! I had a fall a couple of weeks ago and ended up in hospital needing an operation to fix 2 breaks in my ankle with a plate & pins. I am now home with a Bright PINK stookie and a big box of painkillers!

Slowly getting a bit more mobile - Ads has turned our living room / dining room into my own personal bedsit! Hoping to get some supplies down from the Craft room so I can fill in the long hours with some crafting!

Have not spent much time surfing yet as I can only sit for so long but want to say a BIG thank you to all the lovely peeps that have commented and sent well wishes via Sugar Nellie & Funky Kits!!

Nothing new to share at the moment - this is a card I did for a mag supplement which is out this month using one of Sugar Nellie's Annie designs by Leanne Ellis - i lubs them so much!

Snow Snow Snow!!!

Oh my goodness - what a week! The snow was a bit late in arriving but it did it in style!! Poor Ads had to dig his way out yesterday and walk the 5 miles to work - talk about dedication!

Sorry for the lack of posts - been a MAD week at work - 3 new stamp plates on the horizon and the wonderful GORJUSS GIRLS are up for pre-orders too :) That will keep me out of mischief for a while!

Had a nice day last Saturday up at the Papeterie in Aberdeen - some really lovely ladies *big waves* and of course I came home with a paper fix :D

Hoping for some crafty-me time over the weekend - will send OH away to the slopes and we can have some girly crafty fun (once the snowmen have been done!)

Have a great weekend!

Bo Bunny Butterflies...

Here is another Bo Bunny sample for the weekend :)

I have used the lurvley Beau Jardin & Double Dot papers and cut the butterfly using my Cricut Create - this one is from the Home Decor Cart - just look how intricate it is!

Been stalking the web for new CHA releases - gutted to hear that there are no new Cuttlebug embossing folders but the new releases from Bo Bunny look fabulous! Also loving the new look of EK Sucess punches - and they have some fabby border punches too - looking forward to those!!

No Thursday night craft fix for me tonight - Ads is cooking in the Speyside Chef of the Year competition tomorrow so my kitchen is about to be turned upside down (and possibly inside out!!) He won this competition last year so it is not likely he will win again but he has so much fun taking part!! Keeping my fingers crossed for him anyway!!

So - I guess it will be an early night with the girlies - we might just snuggle up and watch High School Musical (again!!)

Byeeeee!

Give an Inch......

Helloooo!

Been a busy bee this week - had a lovely day on Saturday up in Elgin Demo'ing the lucious Bo Bunny - lots of friendly faces popped in - was a great day out!

This week I am busy prepping up for a Demo down in Perth at Stampaholics. This demo features the new "Inchies" stamps from Inkadinkado. I have been having so much fun trying these out - I must confess I was an Inchie virgin but now I am addicted! I ordered up a few more arty supplies to broaden my horizons!

Will be nice to get away this weekend - Siobhan and everyone at Stampaholics are really lovely and I cant wait to see what new stash she has! Also looking forward to staying over at Mum & Dad's as it was Christmas when I last saw them! The wee ones will have a blast!

Soooo - here is a wee Inchie project to share 0 the bottom right square is actually a wee window with the image stamped in behind.

Happy Crafting everyone!

A Day Off....

aaaah - a whole day at home to catch up on the HW, to try and make head or tail of my tax return, and to work on some more Bo Bunny samples.....or so I thought!

Had a wee girl up all night with a sore throat and a raging temperature so I am officially the Sofa Nurse today!! I am usually pretty tough when it comes to colds & coughs - I think Annemiek has only ever had one day off school before but today she really is not right - poor wee soul!

I was busy yesterday with some new Sugar Nellie images - they are really cute - remind me of Biff & Chip in the school reading books - and of course Meike can not wait to colour some in! Have a peek at the Sugar Nellie Blog to see :) Still stalking for the last couple of Gorjuss images then I reckon that will be good to go too! So many new exciting stamps!!!!

Well I had better return to my Florence Nightingale duties - but before I do here is another Bo Bunny special to share :)

Bo Beautiful!

Ooooooh I am SO loving all the lush products from Bo Bunny! I have been playing all weekend getting more samples ready for some upcoming demonstrations.

The board books are just amazing and the papers are so seriously gorgeous it is almost a sin to cut them up!! Here are a few projects I have been working on :)

This last week has gone so fast! Everything is super busy in the Sugar Mines and I have been a busy bee packing up orders for Funky Kits. Next week should see the pre-orders open up for Gorjuss Girls and I have had a sneaky peek and they are sooooo GORJUSS!!!!

Better go and do the Sunday night ritual of homework, hairwashing and gatting ready for school in the morning! Hope you have all had a nice weekend!

Happy New Year!

Oh my....what happened to December!

Happy New Year everyone.....I hope that 2009 is good to you! I am glad to put 2008 behind us....a lot of mixed emotions and quite a few struggles - but my chin is up...my craft room is (almost) tidy and I am ready for what lies ahead!

This is a big year for little Freya....first up she is starting a new Nursery on Monday as we have had a few changes and then in the Summer she will start Primary School. OMGosh I can hardly belive it - my wee angel at school! Keep all babies away from me in case I get all broody!

Here is a photo of the girls all set for their Christmas Dinner at a special table for 2 at Granny & Grandads house - they were so spoilt!

Got a lot of crafty projects on my table needing attention....hope to be able to share in a bit - but first I feel a baking spree coming on!
